I'm just in that mood, so I decided to create a completely a random thread consisting of epic things. The epic things can really be anything and everything so long as they're awesome. I will probably be posting in it from time to time and I get bored and do web surfing or remember cool things that I just can't help but want to share with others. Feel free to add your own things as you like. It can be a movie, song, book, quote, video game, funny, sad, real, fake, fantasy sports related, a real life story, or whatever you think fits the criteria. It's the 'Thread of Epic' but it's also quite random. I guess the point of this thread is to share the wealth and possibly introduce people to cool things they may not have known existed. I'm hoping someone shows me a thing or two.

Epic thing #1: The final standoff in the movie "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".

Epic thing #2: Quite possibly the greatest comedy sketch ever written. "Who's on First?" as made famous by Abbott and Costello. The word play is simply amazing. I'm sure most of you have seen or at least of heard of it, but if you haven't shame on you and those around you for failing to introduce you to it.

Epic thing #3: The almost miracle. Michigan versus Nebraska in the 2005 Alamo Bowl. This was quite possibly the worst officiated game I'd ever seen in college football history. So many missed calls on both sides including no penalty on this final play of the game.
Sure I could post all the great plays to win in the final moments like Doug Flutie's hail mary and other such amazing plays, but everyone knows about those. This is one that I'm sure most people probably never knew happened and if they did know probably forgot about it. This is when magic almost happens.

Oh, I see. No one has anything interesting at all, huh? Well no surprise. I'm used to starting threads and having them mostly ignored. On to business!
Epic thing #4: Earl Weaver. I got a double dose for you today. The man was absolutely hilarious. Be warned, he uses extreme language. If that either offends you or you just don't like hearing it, then please do not watch the video.
WARNING: EXTREME UNCENSORED LANGUAGE

Tom, I'll end up flooding this thread with stuff, maybe not epic but I spend far too much time on youtube watching dumb stuff that others should enjoy

While on the topic of Al Pacino, I'll always remember him for this:
I would've loved to have found the whole ending sequence, but copyright laws and what not apparently make it illegal to post on youtube without some sort of stupid music over the top of it.

Getting back to my epic thing list, it's a bit of a cop out, but pretty much anything Monty Python related is pretty epic. Two of the more memorable scenes I could find were from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
The Black Knight
and
The Killer Rabbit
That's just the tip of the ice berg, though (not to mention only from one movie). If you haven't seen any Monty Python before, I suggest you look into possibly renting or buying some of their movies. Or you can probably illegally pirate them online, but I probably shouldn't endorse that.

And since I'm feeling a bit frisky tonight I guess I'll post another one. All of the Naked Gun movies are superb as well. I would recommend all of them. Not only are they funny, but hey, O.J. Simpson is in them. That should speak for itself.
Here's one of my personal favorite scenes. Although my favorites list is probably dozens of scenes long.
I should probably stop posting so many videos and start posting other "epic" or awesome things. Have a little variety. I'm just posting these as I come across them, though. Not really planning ahead at all. I've also gotten sidetracked and turned this into 'comedy hour', which isn't so much epic as it is hilarious. I'll have to starting thinking about cool things again that don't rely on comedy.

It's been a few weeks, but I got sidetracked. Here's your epic thing to hold you over until the next time.
